Therapeutic Employment
Hebrides Alpha offers a therapeutic employment opportunity for individuals who have a substance addiction problem, and who are serious about addressing it.
Individuals are employed on a voluntary basis for 16 hours (2 days) per week.
They participate in relevant certificated training in a variety of courses including Manual Handling, Health & Safety, First Aid and the CSCS Construction Skills card which enables them to work on a building site.
They deliver a range of services in the local community – see ‘Services Delivered’.
They learn new skills, work as part of a team, increase in confidence and self-esteem and they become more employable.
Individuals who work on the therapeutic employment scheme are also able to get an honest, up-to-date employment reference.
